Created by Space Lab’s president and creative director Andres Calvo. Born in 2009 as a You Tube comic character which virally propagated and was also showcased on Costa Rica’s national TV. Currently has more than 142.000 Facebook fans, and over 1.700.000 you tube views. El Moradito also has been created as a comic strip for one of Costa Rica’s main newspaper. The Character is currently waiting for his soon to come new activation in a series of short films.

Business created by co-founer Marianela Calvo, “Bona Fide” means Good Faith in latin, an expression which means that something is authentic, genuine and full of positive intentions. Marianela Calvo is not only Space Lab’s main designer but is also a new face in the accessory design world. She has experimented with fabrics and colors throughout this and last year, achieving a large collection of original and colorful necklaces. Bonafide has also served as an internal inspiration for Space Lab helping push limits to experiment a new approach to art direction, which is applied to all our web design and development.

11:11 is a rock band funded by Andrés Calvo in 2008, born as a musical / visual artistic project, it has helped to provide a constant source of inspiration for Space Lab, not only in new experimental design techniques for web and video but also for providing a constant contact with the spirit of music creation and appreciation.
